Audio/Video Installer Job Description
- Serve as the face of the company, ensuring all client contact is positive
- Accurately manage outgoing and incoming gear from a central warehouse location
- Troubleshoot technical problems and offer positive solutions
- Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools
- Ability to solder & crimp connectors
- Perform service tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner. Such tasks include but are not limited to: pulling cable, install connectors, projector mounting / hanging (ceiling mounts) Etc.
- Assist next level service technicians as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to work overtime – as required
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Effective time management skills, with strong organization and prioritization abilities
- Knowledge of setup and maintenance of audio/visual equipment
- A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to continually improve performance
- Perform preventative maintenance visits to help maintain a stable client based system
- Positive and effective interaction with internal and external customers
- Equipment delivery and associated responsibilities
- Proficient with a PC/MAC
- Adhere to and understand OSHA standards for all phases of the job
- Valid Divers License and Safe Driving Record
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, work in varying temperatures, etc. This position can have physical demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associated Technical trade school Diploma or College Diploma (Preferred)
- Minimum of one year industry experience (Preferred)
- Computer networking experience for interconnecting AV / IT control systems (Preferred)
- Candidate must complete all training requirements for this position within the current allowable established timeframe.
